When I was a small girl of six almost,

I often had a fear of getting lost!

Now when I’m a little older, I rise….

I choose to lose, myself into your eyes.

And then, when I turned ten, I learned to sing.

But I now listen.. Just hear my heart’s strings.

It beats with the rhythm of your song… our song!!

I keep looking at you, for so so long!!

Life – “a short prose” , was turned a sonnet dear!!

Life – “a dead rose”, came alive, free of fear!

God made you, didn’t he fall in love with thee?

But you were sent here, cause you’re made for me!

I ask you… can I? Can I say something….!!??

You say ‘No!’…. I won’t. You say ‘Yes!’…. I can’t.

Hi!! This is my very first sonnet experimentation…..🤗

Being honest…, it was really tricky for me to ensure and insert exactly 10 syllables per line… 😁😁Yes!! Go and check!! 😎…and write a 14 lined poem(A Sonnet of course!!!) Do tell me how was it…?? I would love to know!!😍😍

I hope you don’t die after reading this!!😂😂😂 Thanks for such a risky attempt!!!😭😭😜😜

And just something to share….. this happens when I write a poem…..🤫🤫🤭

      I believe you can, you can learn anything by reading books, watching movies, surf the internet, although the feeling is not so deep (but it can be) so does the pain 😝

    18. Other than smoking, other “activities” end in highschool, I have quit before for 2 months in 2015, but then I started again after my ex girlfriend broken up with me right before I was going to propose 😂

      Yes, I agree, but my attempt doesn’t stop, I still trying so many times, the 2 months record is my best, the last attempt is 12 hours and it’s already so frustrating 🤣
      No I don’t, not planning on it for short time, I try approaching some recently but it just leads to another problems 😂

    2. Is there a trick to work with the syllables? I see a lot of people writing haikus, I tried but it was beyond my control to write by restricting the syllables 😝

    3. Actually, I tried this for the first time… And never really got into haikus. So, for me it was just a trial and error method that worked, no tricks🙌
      We can try a thousand methods.. who’s there to see if we get wrong! You know… we can always erase if it’s bad! Believe me.. I have a greater collection of bad.. worse…poems!😂😂

    5. Yup! It’s a bit time consuming… This one took about 2 hrs… You know… there’s a secret…
      These ideas come to my mind while studying physics! Physics really makes my mind feel more creative. This is the reason most of my poems have come from the last pages of my physics notebook…. during the study hours! 😁😁

  16. I have a condition called Trigeminal Neuralgia which is very painful and arthritis so the medication makes me drowsy in warm weather. I feel like I want to sleep all the time but I am never going to complain about having warm weather. We don’t get much warm weather in the UK 😁

  20. I love a sonnet or two so am delighted when people try their hand. A very good first try all things considered. Maybe try a different rhyming scheme ABBA,CDDC etc. Or Breaking the lines mid sentence, but continuing the rhyme. There is. Lot of skill in this, but you’re on your way.
